awhile agobreathless alone in the cold night, looking up overwhelmed by the stars. they're all spinning just so slowly it might be your imagination. she's in love with (she's not quite sure) she doesn't want to find out quite yet (maybe another time when solitude is less distractingly beautiful) this is the same world in which (two beautiful boys lick off each other's sweat) and (they will accept sending bombs for a "good cause"). she could die here in the silence and no one would know until (the sun rose with a wash of grimy pinks and oranges) and men came to clean the night from the streets. but she does not want to die with so many unanswered questiawhile ago
boy tried to talk to butterflya boy tried to talk to a butterfly it said nothing but he sat down and explained why the stars shine at night because my eyes shine, and your wings too, he said the butterfly flew away, and flew into a star its wings were white with fire, caught in the heat the butterfly crumbled, and fell down to earth before the boy he sat with his legs under him and his knees in his hands and picked up the butterfly as it smoldered it should rain now, but it doesn't. the sun bakes all the ground into hard sections and the boy is thirsty, but he doesn't move i told you so, he told the butterfboy tried to talk to butterfly
